Ngurlu is an Aboriginal word used by the Warlpiri people in central Australia. It means seed, which are gathered by the Aboriginal women and taken back to camp to be sorted and ready for grinding, The ground seeds are ready to made into damper. Certain Warlpiri women are the custodians of Ngurlu Jukurrpa (Damper seed Dreaming) Music sticks are used during dance cycles and songlines.
