The painting depicts particular leaves which grow in the artists ancestral country near Utopia.

The leaves are collected by the Aboriginal Women, boiled, kangaroo resin added and mixed into a paste , which is used as bush medicine to treat a variety of ailments.

The women also celebrate the Bush Leaf Dreaming (or known as Bush Medicine Dreaming) in their ceremonies.
