The painting depicts Awelye, women's ceremonial body paint design associated with the Arnkerrthe (Mountain Devil Lizard). The aboriginal women paint ceremonial design on their breast, shoulder and neck area. The ceremonies include song and dance - led by the most senior women of the tribal group.
