Each delicate square depicted in this painting represents the Bush plum story (alkwe) inherited from the artists fathers country Ahalpere, Utopia in Central Australia. The white dots convey the tracks imprinted in the sand by the women.
The Bush plum is of significance to the Anmatyerre women's ceremonies, which include many song lines and dance cycles to ensure continues productivity of the fruit.
