This artwork depicts Aboriginal women and children covered in body paint designs in preparation to perform dance cycle and song lines to the witch doctor to remove any sickness related to the Athem-areny spirits.

Atham-areny are tiny spirits and make you sick if they touch you. Ceremonies are performed to remove the sickness out.
