The painting depicts the seeds of the Bush Yam plant illustrated in a looping pattern. In the Bush Yam Seed Dreaming, the aboriginal women perform ceremonies which include song and dance and pay homage to the spirit of the yam plant to ensure perpetual germination. The bush yam is an important food source for the aboriginal people living in Central Australia.
