The painting depicts Awelye , womens body paint design associated with women's ceremony and bush melon from the Antwengerrp region - Minnie Pwerle 's country at Utopia , Aboriginal Art Regions of Central Australia.

Bush Melon is a sweet bush tucker that comes from a very small bush .Once very abundant, it is now days difficult to find.
Betty's mother Minnie and the other women used to collect this fruit immediately or cut it into pieces and skewer them on a piece of wood and dry them to be eaten in the times when bush tucker was scarce.

Betty Mbitjana has inherited this Dreaming from her Mother Minnie Pwerle (deceased).
