The painting depicts awelye, women's body paint design associated with women's ceremony and bush melon from the Antwengerrp region - Utopia in Central Australia
Bush Melon is a sweet bush tucker that comes from a very small bush. Once very abundant, it is now days difficult to find.
The women gathered the bush melon fruit, the surplus was skewed and dried, to be eaten when bush tucker was scarce.
