The painting depicts using iconographical symbols the movement of watercourses (wavy lines), series of creek beds and sandhills referred to as the Inland Sea, a significant Mina Mina site and the Aboriginal Dreamtime Story of the Mina Mina Women's Dreaming Ancestral tracks as they walked, sang and danced across Lake MacKay north-west of Yuendumu region in Central Australia. During their journey the Warlpiri women used digging sticks in their ceremonies and to gather aboriginal food.
