The painting depicts two mimi spirits with a dilly fishing bag. (Fishing bags are made from woven fibres of plant species). Mimi Spirits can be found on rock formations in the Top End of Northern Australia. Mimi Spirits are depicted as tall, thin figures.
They are harmless, but can be quite mischievous. It is believed they taught Aboriginal people skills in hunting, cooking and painting.
