The painting depicts Awelye, body paint design associated with women's ceremony from the artists region of Atnwengerrp, Utopia in Central Australia, concealed with overlapping colour.

The women apply from ground ochre body paint design (markings) onto their upper body, before commencing their ceremony. Ceremonies include many song and dance cycles.
