The painting depicts the Mountain Devil Lizards ( Arnkerth ) physical appearance, its uneven texture and curling pattern.

It is believed the Mountain Devil Lizard ancestors collected ochres (carried on his back), then deposited these ochre colours throughout Atnangkere country, Utopia, Aboriginal Art Regions of Central Australia.
