The artwork depicts many unique symbols, which the Warlpiri women from Central Australia incorporate in their womens ceremonial paintings.

Women's ceremonies include many song lines combined with dance cycles. The women decorate their upper body with body paint designs or markings from ground ochres before commencing their ceremony
