The bracelet is made of Gum nuts, and Ininti
seeds. Firstly, the Gum nuts are lacquered, then a design is created, which on this bracelet depicts witchetty grubs. Witchetty grubs are a bush tucker for Aboriginal people.
Jewellery making can be a seasonal occupation because the materials required are found in the natural environment and are only available at particular times of the year in certain desert regions. The seeds and Gum nuts are collected by women and children traditionally when searching for bush tucker using their knowledge of the land.
