The painting depicts Bush berries. The Eastern Arrernte Aboriginal women gather bush berries after rain, when the barren desert has been transformed into an abundance of wild bush berries.
Bush berries are edible fruits which can be either eaten raw or cooked and are gathered on a daily basis by Aboriginal women and children. The foot prints represents walkabout.(walkabout is a spiritual journey where they return to their home or where they feel a connection to the land).
