The painting depicts a topography referring to movement of the sand dunes, created by the wind, constantly changing the desert landscape in Warlukalonga country - Maureen traditional homeland of Mount Allen in Central Australia.
Sand dunes carry a deep spiritual meaning for Aboriginal people. Ceremonies are performed in sand dune country and the women collect edible plants for bush tucker or bush medicine.
