The painting depicts a topography of soakages, waterholes and boundaries referring to the artists homeland of Warlukurlangu in the Yuendumu region of Central Australia.

The boundaries (squares) represent these Aboriginal (Warlpiri) skin groups:

• Nampajinpa and Jampajinpa - purple
• Jungala and Nungala - lighter purple
