This painting refers to my grandfathers Bush Potato Dreaming of Black Hill near Ti Tree, which is located 190km north of Alice Springs, Aboriginal Art Regions of Central Australia.

The Bush potato grows in very low nutrition soil, making it an ideal food crop for soil depleted countries. This particular bush potato grows only in this region, my grandfathers country.

They are described like the an underground pumpkin, because the top part grows like a pumpkin, but it has large tubes underground. Aboriginal woman have the knowledge to find them, because when the vines are separated its very difficult to trace the potatoes.
