The painting depicts edible bush foods (bush tucker) the Eastern Arrernte women collect. The women are the principal food gatherers, whilst the men go hunting.

• Wild passion fruit (Arrutnenge)

• Bush orange (Atwakeye)
• Witchetty grubs (Tyape)

The name of each fruit are provided in Eastern Arrernte language.
