The artwork refers to Women's dreaming, which are associated with women's business. Ceremonies involve song lines, dance cycles and body painting, which carries deep spiritual significance for Aboriginal women. Such events are performed in sand hills and very private away from the men.

The senior women may pass on instruction to the younger initiates. Initiates are taught their roles as nurturers of the land and keepers of the law by which life's rules and regulations are set.
