Katie Rumble Petyarre

Katie Rumble Petyarre (Pitjara) was born in c.1960's at Utopia in central Australia. Katie commenced painting in 1996.


Katie's depicts in her painting stories of Anwekety (Bush plum). The fruit from this Australian native plant are gathered by the Anmatyerr women from Utopia in Central Australia. The women also pay homage to the spirit of Bush plum in their ceremonies to ensure perpetual germination.
