Ningura Napurrula

Ningura Napurrula

Born c. 1938 at Watulka, south of Kiwirrkurra, Ningura was married to Yala Yala Gibbs Tjungurrayi (now deceased), an outstanding artist who painted for Papunya Tula Artists. Her depictions include the story for Wirrulnga, a rockhole east of Kiwirrkurra. Her painting was used as a motif on an Australian stamp in 2003.
