The painting depicts a linear pattern representing Awelye, specific body paint designs associated with the Mountain Devil Lizard Dreaming.


The Aboriginal women apply body paint designs made from ground ochres using a typale (brush-like stick) onto their upper body in preparation for womens ceremony.


Traditional Womens ceremony involve many song and dance cycles.
