Christmas Sale 2009

Kungka Tjukurrpa by Bambatu Napangardi

The painting depicts the journey paths of the ancestral ceremonial women, as they travelled from the waterhole of Wirrulunga, east of Kirwirrkurra, Aboriginal Art Regions of Central Australia.

The Pintupi Aboriginal women walked from Kintore to Mount Leibig and Papunya regions, where at each location they stopped, danced and sang the song cycle of each site.

  • The lines represents the journey paths
  • The concentric circle represents the waterhole
