Women's Ceremony by Nora Long Napananga

The painting depicts body paint design associated with Yawulyu ( women's ceremony). The Warlpiri Aboriginal women anoint their upper body with oil before applying ochre designs in preparation for their traditional ceremony. Ceremonies include dance cycles and singing of Dreaming songs of ancestral figures.
