Patricia Nakamarra Oldfield

BiographyPatricia Nakamarra Oldfield was born in 1982 and comes from Yuendumu Community, approximately 300km from Alice Springs in Central Australia. She is the daughter of two Warlukurlangu Artists artists so she has always been exposed to painting and artworks. She and her husband Sebastin Jangala Robertson, a fellow artist with Warlukurlangu Artists are very active and positive members of the community and art centre. Both are involved in a youth development program with Mt Theo. Patricia has been painting with Warlukurlangu Artists since 2001. Patricia paints stories and Dreamings which are closely related to her traditional country. Warna Jukurrpa (Snake Dreaming) is the main focus of her artworks, this Dreaming was passed down to her through her father's family. |
