This beautiful watercolour is titled "My Country - The Landscape Behind Ntaria" and was completed in 2014. Hermannsburg is Reinhold's homeland and where both of his parents come from. Hermannsburg has a rich history with the famed Albert Namitjara originating from there. This artwork features the landscape seen behind Hermannsburg. Hermannsburg is approximately 1 hour from Alice Springs in Central Australia. Reinhold's Dreamings which have been passed down from his father relate to Mount Hermannburg.

Artist

Reinhold Inkamala was born in 1974 and comes from Alice Springs in Central Australia. His parents both come from Ntaria (Hermannsburg Community) which is approximately 1 hour from Alice Springs. His Dreamings have been passed down from his father and are related to Mount Hermannsburg.

As a young man Reinhold was an up and coming AFL player buth sadly he suffered a brain injury in and accident which restricted him from playing anymore. Reinhold taught himself to paint by first drawing. He enjoys painting and drawing his father's country. Reinhold has developed his watercolour artwork using unusual and interesting colours and has a great technique.

He works closely with Iltja Ntharra (Many Hands Art) and Central Art is excited to work closely with the art centre and showcase some of his artwork.
